Lehman (2-2) held a 57-54 lead with ten seconds to go, before a Lightning turnover ended up in the hands of freshman Tim Biolosi. Biolisi then nailed a 22-foot jump shot to tie the score. For Biolisi, it was his only three points for the game. After a timeout, Lehman went the distance of the court, where Bueno exhibited his end of the game heroics.
\"This was a great win for the program,\" said Lehman coach Steve Schulman. \"Both teams played hard, and this is a classic ending for our young team, hopefully we build off it.\"
For the Lightning, Bueno finished with ten points, while sophomores Jason Marchena led the way with 14 points and Duane Rhoden added ten for Lehman.
Up next for the Lightning is the CUNY conference opener against Medgar Evers in Brooklyn.
