Catholic 97, Salisbury 85

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — The Farmingdale State men's basketball team fell to 10-5, 6-2 in the Skyline after a 92-69 loss against Old Westbury (10-6, 6-2) in Farmingdale, NY. Old Westbury's junior guard Kenneth Eusey (Brooklyn, NY/Rice) posted 16 points in the first half and finished with a game-high 31 points to help his team move into a first place tie in the conference with three other teams (Farmingdale, Manhattanville and Stevens).

The Panthers shot 72-percent from three-point territory in the first and held the Rams to 17 points, taking a 51-17 lead into the locker room. Farmingdale came out in the second with a few quick baskets, but could not muster up the rally on an off night, falling to their rival by 23.

Junior guard Peter Lipka (Shelton, CT/Shelton) led the Rams with 15 points, followed by freshman guard Tremain Gary (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Loughlin) who netted 12 in the final five minutes. Freshman guard Merlin Bass (Queens, NY/Holy Cross) was third in scoring with nine points.

Old Westbury junior guard Ian Johnson (Jamaica, NY/John Adams) finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while junior guard Anthony Stowe (PG County, MD/Bishop McNamara) tallied 14 and junior forward Divine Jackson (Hempstead, NY/Hempstead) had 12 points and nine boards.

Farmingdale State will host Mount Saint Mary College in another conference game on Saturday, January 27th at 1:00pm.
