FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — The Rams defeated Centenary College 98-57 today in their first Skyline Conference men’s basketball game of the season. Farmingdale State is now 7-1 All-time against Centenary (1-4, 0-1 Skyline) and improves to 2-1, 1-0 Skyline with the win. Junior forward Brian Robinson (White Plains, NY/White Plains) led Farmingdale with 15 points and nine rebounds.

With a 41-26 lead at the half, the Rams continued to pressure the Cyclones and added 57 more points in the second, shooting 53-percent from the field. Farmingdale finished with 24 points off turnovers and 68 bench points.

The Rams had four players in double figures. Robinson led with 15 points. Junior guard Peter Lipka (Shelton, CT/Shelton) and junior forward Tom Canning (Oak Beach, NY/Babylon) both finished with 11 points. Junior guard Rich Riss (Tarrytown, NY/Archbishop Stepinac) had 10 points, four assists and three steals. Sophomore forward Davon Jackson (New York, NY/Rice) finished with nine points and nine rebounds. Freshman John Gener (Bronx, NY/St. Raymond’s) had a great game, tallying up seven points and eight boards in seven minutes played.

Centenary had two main contributors in sophomore guard Alex Kuchar (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) and senior guard Kyle Warner (Oak Ridge, NJ/Jefferson Township). Kuchar had a game-high 21 points, while Warner totaled 20 for the day.

Farmingdale State will travel to New York City to play Yeshiva on Wednesday night, December 6th at 8:00pm for another conference game.
