Augsburg 74, Bethel 62

MAHWAH, N.J. — Farmingdale State men's basketball improved to 1-0 tonight with a 90-29 victory over Berkeley College (0-1) in the opening game of the Ramapo College Tip-Off Tournament. Senior guard Terry Menefee (Mission, KS/Shawnee Mission North) led the Rams with 18 points, while junior guard Peter Lipka (Shelton, CT/Shelton) finished with 15 points (14 points in the first half) and grabbed eight rebounds.

Farmingdale opened the game with a three-pointer by Menefee and two by Lipka for a 9-0 lead. The Rams held a 44-22 advantage at the half and held Berkeley to just seven points in the second for the 61 point victory. Sophomore guard Damien Santana (Brooklyn, NY/Grady) was the third Farmingdale player in double figures with 10 points. Senior forward Sean McCabe (Bellmore, NY/WC Mepham) led the team in rebounding with nine boards and also added nine points. Junior forward Bobby Seible (Freeport, NY/Freeport) rounded out the starting five with eight points and six boards.

Farmingdale State will now face the winner of the Ramapo vs. Yeshiva game tomorrow (Sunday, Nov. 19th) at 3:00pm in the Championship game.
