Piedmont 80, Huntingdon 73IRVING, Texas — The University of Dallas opened up the UD Round Robin Tournament by defeating Colorado College 55-50 in Friday’s late game. Joe Packard led the way for the host Crusaders with 18 points. The junior forward shot 6-13 from the field and 6- 7 from the charity stripe. He also hauled down 6 rebounds, blocked 2 shots, and registered 1 steal.
Nate Brodman (14) and Jarrell Sweet (19) were Colorado Colleges' leading scorers. In Friday’s earlier game the UC-Santa Cruz Banana Slugs fell to the Chapman University Panthers 77-56. UD takes on Chapman University in Saturday’s late match-up of the UD Round Robin at 4:00pm. The Colorado College vs. UC-Santa Cruz game opens the days’ festivities at 2:00pm.
