Maryville forced 28 turnovers, outrebounded their opponent 42-37 and held Pitt-Bradford to just 1-of-10 shooting from behind the arc. The Saints also finished 8-of-21 from three-point range themselves, while shooting 42.4 percent overall from the field and 86.4 percent from the charity stripe.
Junior Kasey Schultz scored a team-high 16 points to lead the Saints to victory. Sophomore transfer Allie Wilhelm added 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks, while sophomore Corinne Vogel came off the bench to net 15 points.
Pitt-Bradford was led by Taiasha Brown with 23 points and eight rebounds. Megan Richards also recorded 10 points, and Danielle Williams grabbed 11 rebounds.
Maryville will return to St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) action in the new year when they travel to Eureka, Ill., on Saturday, January 6, to face conference newcomer Eureka College. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
