UW-Whitewater 71, UW-River Falls 63

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The 19th-ranked North Central College men\'s basketball team cruised to its third win of the year with an 85-61 victory over Franklin College (Ind.) Saturday, Nov. 25. The win ran the Cardinals\' record to a perfect 3-0, while the Grizzlies fell to 1-2.

North Central shot a blistering 62 percent from the field (36 of 58), led by Anthony Simmons\' (Bolingbrook, Ill./Romeoville) 25 points. Adam Krumtinger (Towanda, Ill./Normal) added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds, and Dan Walton (Carol Stream, Ill./Glenbard North) nine points and seven boards. The Cardinals got a boost from their young backcourt as freshmen Reid Barringer (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) and Brandon Smith (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) chipped in 11 points apiece.

Franklin was led by Dustin Marshall and Jared Catron with 13 points each. Jon Neill and Jace Redman contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the visitors.
