Junior guard Christine Daley (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont) hit a three-pointer with 8:49 remaining in the second half to cut the deficit to four, before the Ducks quickly responded with a three of their own from freshman forward Brittany Fuller (East Rockaway, N.Y./East Rockaway). The Rams chipped away and got within four points on four more occasions but the free throws would seal the game for Stevens.
Sophomore guard Dani Dudek (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) led the Ducks in the final five minutes, hitting 10-of-12 from the charity stripe. She finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. Junior forward Dora Enright (Longmont, Colo./Longmont) had 15 points and nine rebounds.
Farmingdale State was led by freshman guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) with 17 points. Junior forward Jasmine Sistrunk (Brooklyn, N.Y./South Shore) tallied 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds (six offensive). Senior Rochelle Clark (Bellport, N.Y./Bellport) added to her season total in steals with five tonight.
The Rams will travel to Centenary College in Hackettstown, N.J. on Saturday, February 3rd. The game was originally scheduled for 2:00 p.m., but has been moved to 6:30 p.m. and the men’s game will follow at 8:30 p.m.
