Kelsey Duoss scored 11 of her game-high 16 points during that first eight minute stretch. Savanah Oeltjen and Char Edwards each tossed in four points during the same time frame.
Stout (10-3) pulled out to a 43-23 halftime lead and 28 point margin at the end of the game was widest of the game as the Blue Devils emptied their bench. Duoss was the only Blue Devils in double figures and added 10 rebounds. Julia Hirssig collected 10 rebounds as well. Dani Boese had another decent night on the glass, taking seven rebounds. Jenny McDermid snagged eight rebounds as Stout completely dominated the rebounding game, 58-28.
Southwestern, coached by former UW-Oshkosh coach Pam Ruder, had one player in double figures, Natasha Azizi, who finished with 10 points.
