NEW ULM, Minn. — Bobby Hunter had 18 of his career-high 20 points in the first half as St. Olaf outlasted Martin Luther College in a 69-59 men\'s basketball win on Monday night.

Jon Bain added 13 points for the Oles (2-2, 0-0 MIAC), who overcame a 2-for-17 performance from 3-point territory in the win.

Jake Schwartz had a team-best 10 points for the host Knights (1-2, 0-0 UMAC).

St. Olaf trailed 22-16 with just over five minutes to play in the first half before Chad Norberg nailed a three and Hunter ran off 10 points before the break.

St. Olaf opens conference play on Saturday when they travel to St. Paul to play defending co-champion St. Thomas at 1 p.m.
