St. Norbert led 37-30 at halftime before Lake Forest took the lead at 53-52 with 8:29 remaining. The Foresters would hold a lead of no bigger than four points until St. Norbert tied the game at 68-68 on a pair of Bianca White free throws with 12 seconds left. St. Norbert held a couple of seven-point leads in the first half for the game's largest leads, while neither team led by more than five in the last 18 minutes of the contest.
