Whitewater, Wisc; — UW-Whitewater defeated Martin Luther College 85-61 Friday evening in the Tip-Off Tourney in Kachel Gym of Williams Center in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Illinois Wesleyan defeated Clarke College (IA) 86-59 in the other semifinal Friday. Clarke and Martin Luther will meet in the consolation game at 5:00 Saturday, followed by the Whitewater-Illinois Wesleyan matchup at 7:00.

Whitewater never trailed in the game, leading 41-27 at the half, and UW-W had at least a 20 point margin

Whitewater was led in scoring by Rob Perry (jr, Milwaukee/Dominican) with 13, while Jason Price (jr, Milwaukee/Washington) and Kori Vernon (so, Madison/Memorial) added 11 apiece. Martin Luther committed 28 turnovers.
