The Cowgirls once again had great balance with four players in double figures. Jeni Hobbs led the way with a career-best 16 points. Laci Walker scored 15 points, Lyssa Dennard had 14 and Melissa Contrucci had 12 points and 10 rebounds four her fourth double-double of the season.
HSU limited the Crusaders to 34 percent shooting and only Shannon Barnes hit double figures for UMHB with 13 points.
The win is the sixth in a row for the Cowgirls and improves their overall record to 11-2 overall and 9-1 in ASC West play. UMHB fell to 8-5 overall and 6-3 in league play.
HSU will host Schreiner on Thursday in the Mabee Complex at 5:30 p.m. in its next action.
