Duoss dropped in 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to pace the win. Freshman Julia Hirssig scored 11 points and hauled in 14 rebounds coming off the bench, with 10 of her rebounds coming in the first half.
Stout (2-0) was never seriously threatened, building a double-digit lead midway through the first half and never losing it, holding a 33-21 halftime lead. Stout held a 54-39 advantage off the glass
Edgewood\'s Jordane Kittoe scored 25 points to lead all scorers and Megan Scheele had 15 points and 15 rebounds, as neither player came out of the game. While Stout emptied its bench, playing 19 players, Edgewood (1-1) used only eight players.
Duoss upped her three-year career points total to 998 points and in all likelihood will score her 1000th career point when Stout hosts Northwestern College Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. Duoss and Lindsey Gerber (So, Exeland) were named to the all-tournament team.
