IRVING, Texas — The University of Dallas Crusaders upended the UC-Santa Cruz Banana Slugs 71-55 in the last game of the UD Round Robin men's basketball tournament Sunday evening. Junior forward Joe Packard led the UD offense with 13 points. Freshman Peter Popovich added 10 points and 6 rebounds; both season highs.

Greg Palmer finished with 16 points to lead the UC-Santa Cruz effort.

In the 3-day tournament UD finished 2-1. On Friday the Crusaders opened up with a 55-50 victory over the Colorado College Tigers, and in Saturday's match-up the Crusaders fell to Chapman University 64-71.
