Whitman 66, Oakwood 62

PINEVILLE, LA — The 7th-ranked Mississippi College Choctaws won their 14th straight game Tuesday night at Louisiana College beating the Wildcats 63-43 and improved to 11-0 in ASC play.

The win was the 31st in a row against American Southwest Conference opponents making it the sixth longest conference streak in Division III history.

Both teams struggled from the field in the first half with MC taking a 23-17 lead into halftime. The second half was all Choctaws as they shot 78 percent to pull away for the win. MC finished the game shooting 61 percent with LC just 32 percent. The Wildcats were just 5-23 from the three point line against the ASC's top statistical defense.

D. J. Jones led all scorers with 17 points with Tyler Winford adding 12 for the Choctaws. #TImothy Broomfield# added nine points and eight rebounds.

LC was led by Josh Johnson with 13 points and Morey Skluzacek with 11.
