CLINTON, Ms. — The 9th-ranked Mississippi College Choctaws (13-1, 10-0 ASC) won their 13th straight game Saturday beating the University of Texas-Tyler (2-11, 2-8 ASC) 66-45 in A. E. Wood Coliseum.

The Choctaws controlled the game from the beginning jumping out to a 16-5 lead and carried a 34-14 lead into halftime. The largest lead of the game came with 15:37 remaining and MC ahead 48-20.

Three Choctaws finished in double figures with Timothy Broomfield scoring 13 points on 4-5 shooting, all three point attempts. Broomfield also grabbed a game high nine rebounds. D. J. Jones scored eleven points while Marcus Evans added ten points.

The 45 points were a season low output for the Patriots who were led by Marlon Hill's ten points. UTT was just 13-45 from the field for a 28 percent shooting night.

The Choctaws outrebounded the Patriots 38-32 and committed just ten turnovers.
