IRVING, Texas — In their first overtime game of the season the University of Dallas Crusaders fell to the UT-Tyler Patriots 78-87 in Tyler, TX. With 3 starters reaching double-figures in scoring, UD matched the hot shooting offense of the Patriots to a 75-75 tie at the end of regulation. However, the Crusaders struggled from the field and were held to 3 points in the overtime period.

Sophomore guard Robert Nickell led the UD offense with 22 points on 4-5 shooting beyond the arc (9-13 overall). Juniors Joe Packard added 19 points (8-12 free throws) and Nick Nestch chipped in 17. Netsch also hauled down a team high 7 rebounds.

The next up for the UD Cagers is the match-up with the 9-10 Trinity University Tigers. The home game is the last of the year and tips off at 7:00pm.
