Benedictine is currently in third place in the NAC. Edgewood, which fell to 6-9 overall and 5-4 in the NAC, entered the game tied for fifth in the league.
BU had four of its five starters all tally in double figures. The quartet of Lauren Zuro (14 points), Tamika Curtis (14 points), Dana Sullivan (14 points and Tiffany Hardy (13 points) paced Benedictine's balanced effort.
Curtis also had eight rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots for Benedictine. Amanda Burditt and Sullivan also each gave off five assists. Burditt had five steals, as well, tops in the game.
Edgewood's Jordane Kittoe led all scorers with 21 points, while also dishing off five assists and grabbing five boards. Teammate Megan Scheele had 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Jessica Abel's 12 points rounded out EC's double-digit scorers.
Edgewood's Nickie Updike had a game-leading seven assists.
