CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — After fighting back to take a 23-20 halftime lead, the Kohawks couldn\'t hold on for their first win as they fell to the visiting Grand View Vikings 58-55 in overtime Tuesday night at Eby Fieldhouse.

Neither team could get many baskets to drop tonight as the Kohawks shot 20-70 for 28.6%, while the Vikings hit the same amount of shots, only on 55 attempts for 36.4%. Three players from each team finished in double figures. Angie Creighton led all scorers with 16 points for the Vikings.

Amber Lindemann threw in 13 points and Megan Brandt had 10. Reserve Shanon Nelson had 11 points in 25 minutes. Both teams finished with 46 rebounds apiece, while Jodi Nikkel and Bailey Schechinger each had 12 to lead the Vikings.

The Kohawks had a chance to put the game away, but misfired on three free throws in the last three seconds of overtime.

Coe will have the week off before entertaining Wartburg next Tuesday night at 6 p.m. The game will be played at Eby Fieldhouse.
