Lewis and Clark 100, Evergreen 66

Northfield, Minn. — Hannah Oken-Berg tallied 13 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots and Sarah Lincoln posted a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds as Carleton College overcame 28 percent shooting in the first half to rally past Macalester College, 61-52.

Amber Connor chipped in 12 points and seven boards for the Knights (17-7, 14-7 MIAC), who held the Scots to eight second-half field goals. Annie Isler added eight points, six rebounds and five assists for the Knights.

Trina PaStarr led all scorers with 21 points. Danielle Johnson added 14 points and four steals and Callie PaStarr tallied 10 points and six assists for Macalester (7-17, 5-16 MIAC).

The Knights, who lost two of three games a week ago, showed little energy in watching the Scots embark on a 20-5 run, capped by Johnson's three that gave the Scots a 24-13 lead. The visitors took a seven-point margin at the break, but Carleton used a 17-5 run out of the half to lead by five, 40-35. The Scots pulled within one on a Trina PaStarr bucket, but the Knights held the Scots to without a field goal for seven minutes, stretching the lead to 53-44 at the two-minute mark.

The Knights are still not assured of a home MIAC Playoff quarterfinal game, as St. Thomas beat St. Catherine tonight. The Knights either need to beat Gustavus or hope the Tommies fall to league-leading St. Benedict to ensure a first-round home game on Tuesday, Feb. 20. The Knights close the regular season by hosting the Gusties on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. The game can be heard and viewed worldwide on Knights Online and heard locally on KQCL 95.9 FM/Power 96.
