Salisbury (11-10, 6-6 CAC) led for the majority of the first half and went up as much as 11 points before they went into the half with a four-point lead, 28-24. Williams poured in a game-high 20 points, 12 of which came from his perfect four-of-four shooting from behind the three-point line. Segun Odumeru (13 points) and Gary Ward (10 points) each chipped in double figures for the Sea Gulls. Mary Washington's Mike Lee pulled down 11 boards for the Eagles.
SU held onto the lead seven minutes into the second half before giving way to the Eagles. Once Mary Washington (13-7, 7-5 CAC) gained the lead both teams traded blows for the remainder of the game. The game was tied on three different occasions down the stretch.
The Sea Gulls have two days to get ready for St. Mary's College (Md.) who will pay a visit to the Maggs Center at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, February 8. The Seahawks defeated the Sea Gulls, 77-76, back on January 13.
