Christina Gaard led the Norse with 15 points. Ashley Tekippe added 14 points and nine rebounds. Three other Norse players reached double figures as Luther completed a season sweep of the Beavers.
Buena Vista was paced by 16 points from Margo Muhlbauer. Also scoring in double figures for the Beavers were Tracy Hartwig with 15 and Jen Schweitzberger with 10.
Luther outshot Buena Vista 51%-41% from the field. The Norse also held a slight advantage in rebounding, 36-34. The Beavers struggled from long range, being outshot 66%-29% from three-point distance.
The Beavers built an early 21-16 lead on a three-point shot from Melissa Putney. Luther countered back with an 8-0 run and never surrendered the lead for the remainder of the game.
Luther improves to 18-4 on the year and 13-1 in the conference. Buena Vista falls to 15-8 and 8-6 in the IIAC. The Beavers will next travel to the University of Dubuque on Wednesday.
