The Auggies went on a 22-4 run in the first frame's last ten minutes, helped by the Oles' cold shooting. St. Olaf was 0-for-7 from the arc in the first 20 minutes.
Cassens was 6-for-6 from the field in the first half, including four three-pointers, which helped the Auggies to a 41-21 lead at the break.
The Oles (3-4, 1-2 MIAC), who were 4-for-19 from three in the loss, cut the Augsburg advantage to seven twice in the second half.
Mark Bergstrom had 17 of his game-high 23 points in the second half in the loss for St. Olaf. Bergstrom nailed the Oles only three's of the game, going 4-of-5.
