Northfield, Minn. — Hannah Oken-Berg scored 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds and Carleton College limited Augsburg College to 26 percent shooting in besting the Auggies, 59-47, for the 14th consecutive time.

Sarah Lincoln added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Knights (12-3, 9-3 MIAC), who shot 48 percent from the floor. Annie Isler added seven points, six assists, five steals and four rebounds for Carleton.

Kristina Lurken paced Augsburg (1-14, 1-11 MIAC) with 19 points. The Auggies have lost 12 straight games, dating back to Dec. 6, 2006.

The Knights took control from out opening tap, with Oken-Berg scoring three buckets in the game's first 3 minutes, 40 seconds, as the Knights led, 10-2. The hosts continued to score inside against the Auggies, pushing the lead to 17-4 on a Lincoln layup. The Auggies pulled within eight on a Lurken triple but the Knights led, 33-20, at the half.

The Knights kept the margin at double figures in the second half in cruising to their 58th home win in their last 64 games against MIAC foes, dating back to the 2001-02 season.

Forty of the Knights' 58 points came in the paint, as they outscored the Auggies, 40-10, in interior baskets.

The Knights now begin a key stretch of games as they try to keep pace with the league leaders. They host Concordia-Moorhead, which is one game back of the Knights in the MIAC standings, on Monday, Jan. 22 at 7:45 p.m. On Wednesday, Carleton hosts league-leading St. Benedict at 7:30 p.m., and the Knights end the week by hosting a talented Bethel club on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. All games can be heard live on Knights Online.
