Staci Humphrey recorded a game-high 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for The Pride, which dropped to 4-3. Humphrey had 20 of her points in the first half. She was 11-25 from the field and converted 4 three-point baskets.
GC led 37-36 at the break and was ahead 53-48 with 8:22 remaining in the game. Yet the Crusaders then went on 15-3 run over the next 5:43 and led 63-56 with 2:41 on the clock.
The Pride committed a season low 10 turnovers in the game. Dallas, however, made 20-28 free throws to 4-8 for GC. UD also won the battle of the boards 43-30. Ana Castilo had 20 points and 18 rebounds to lead Dallas (5-3).
Sophomore Katie Freeman tallied 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for Greensboro. The Pride plays the loser of Saturday’s Rust-Hendrix game on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 EST. Humphrey needs 14 points to reach 1,000 for her career at Greensboro College.
