COLUMBUS, Ohio — Capital University's women's basketball team wins its 11th straight game with a 72-39 rout of Mount Union College in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup Wednesday in Columbus.

Capital, ranked No. 24 in the nation, moves to 17-4 overall and stays on top of the OAC standings with a 13-2 record. Mount Union falls to 10-12 overall and 6-9 in the OAC.

The Crusaders never trailed opening up a 9-2 lead in the game's opening four minutes. Capital extended that lead to 19 points at the break, 39-20. Capital would take that lead to as many as 36 points with just under five minutes to play before going on to the 72-39 final.

Sophomore forward Caitlin Elsass had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds to pace Capital. The Crusaders also got 10 points each from sophomores Caitlin Graessle and Daniele Manalac.

Alicia Williams had 13 points as the only Purple Raider in double digits.
