San Diego, CA — Lady Mavs Pound Salve Regina in San Diego

The Lady Mavs (ranked 21st nationally) took the court for their first game in (19) days and they showed no signs of rust as they pounded Salve Regina University (58-38) at the San Diego Surf N' Slam on the campus of Point Loma Nazarene. It was a dominating performance by Medaille as they headed into halftime with an (18) point edge (34-16). They came out of the locker room and continued to dominate as they went up by as many as (24) points early in the second stanza. The Lady Mavs were once again led by Amanda Baker (Lyons, NY/Newark), who recorded another double/double posting (18) points to go along with (10) boards. Also, posting a double/double was Marisa Clark (Hilton, NY/Hilton) who had (10) points and (10) rebounds to go along with (3) assists and (3) steals. The Lady Mavs will now face the fifth ranked team in America as they will play DePauw University (9-1) at 2:00pm (PST) tomorrow (12/29). The victory over Salve Regina moves Medaille to (8-1) on the season.
