PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.- — Brandeis University defeated Plattsburgh State, 74-63, in the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament Sectional Semifinal round at Memorial Hall on Friday night. The No. 5 Judges improve to 23-5 while the seventh-ranked Cardinals are eliminated with a 27-3 mark.

The Judges snapped the Cardinals' 20-game winning streak, and handed Plattsburgh its first home loss of the season in 14 games. Andre Roberson led Brandeis with 20 points, while Joe Coppens scored 16. Terrell Hollins scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

For Plattsburgh, Anthony Williams scored a game-high 28 points and dished four assists. Travis Gorham scored a double double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Antwane Miller had 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Brandeis hit 45% of its shots from beyond the three-point line for the game, including six of nine in the first half.
