CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY — No. 3 Thomas More completed its unbeaten regular season with an 88-39 pasting of visiting Saint Vincent Saturday at the Connor Convocation Center.
The Saints used a 16-0 run in the first half to open up a 20-point lead, and never turned back.
They limited the Bearcats to just 21 percent shooting and owned the rebounding margin, 52-24. Thomas More shredded the SVC pressure and were able to convert its opportunities into 27 fast break points and 32 points in the paint.
The ability to break the Saint Vincent full court pressure enabled the Saints to shoot 59 percent from the field.
Senior Tandrea Sellers and sophomore Sarah Yeiser led the way with 12 points each, while juniors Gabby Johnson and Jayme Thiem added 10 points each.
Thomas More (25-0) will open the Presidents' Athletic Conference tournament 6 p.m. Tuesday when they host Waynesburg.
