DECATUR, Ill. — Millikin’s Big Blue and the Wheaton Thunder kept it close throughout until Wheaton slowly started to pull away with 4:34 left to play. The Thunder led by as many as 10 points with 55 seconds remaining and the Big Blue couldn’t only get as close as six, falling 65-56.

Wheaton’s Kent Raymond led all scorers with 25 points and Andy Wiele added 21 for the Thunder. For Millikin, Tunde Ogunleye led the way with 20 points and Zach Ott added 11 off the bench. Ogunleye tallied a double-double by pulling down a team-high 10 rebounds and also blocked three shots. For Wheaton, Wiele led the way with eight boards.

Millikin shot 41.5 percent from the field (22-of-53), 38.9 percent from 3-point (7-of-18) and 62.5 percent from the free throw line (5-of-8). Wheaton shot 49 percent from the field (25-of-51), 28.6 percent from 3-point (2-of-7) and 81.3 percent from the free throw line (13-of-16). Millikin out-rebounded the Thunder 31-27.

The Big Blue wraps up its season on Saturday at Carthage.
