What does it take to win a national title? We asked ... Liz Bondi, DePauw
Now: Preparing to enter medical school To win a national championship, you need ... Balance "To win a Division III basketball national championship, you need balance. It is about playing well-balanced game on offense and defense. When one area is lacking, it is the ability of players to fill that void. Also, there must be a balanced mentality. Every player has to trust each player on the team. Trust their decisions on the court and trust their effort and commitment on every play. It is also important for every player to believe that she can and will win the game. When it comes down to the moment, it is not about the star player(s), the accolades, or team records. It is about the entire team. A little luck never hurt either." Next: Andrew Olson, Amherst |
