(Tenn.) 77, Christopher Newport 65 CNU fell behind at halftime 39-32, as second team All-Dixie Conference point guard Lindsey Carney went down with a knee injury. CNU battled back to within 49-47 with 12:31 to go, but was never able to take the lead. The final score was the largest margin for the Scots (22-4). For CNU (15-12) Serita Jackson had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Rasheedah Martin added 11 points and Karla Rhone had ten off the bench. The Lady Captains outrebounded Maryville 42-39, but shot just .377 from the floor (26-for-69). Maryville was 26-for-57 (.456) from the field. |
