D3hoops.com's regional awards
2001-02 season
All-Region teams announced
We
at D3hoops.com have decided to expand upon our All-American teams, which
we will name this year for the fifth consecutive year, and extend the
honors to the best team in each region.
Players
were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at
the various schools, who were contacted three different times as the season
wound down to make their players eligible. The ballot was then distributed
to regional SIDs, who voted for ten players, from 10 points to 1 point.
Regional coordinators then tallied the votes into three teams.
Special thanks to John Arenberg, SID at Emory University, who developed the concept and served as national coordinator.
